Check the system

Read the local Core status, distinguish it from Cloud status and separate screen preferences from system maintenance.

01

Identify the environment you are opening

System helps you establish which home and account this screen is connected to. In the connected v0.37 interface, this page shows the Core connection and This screen settings. The demo and theme version additionally provide a sample environment with status, diagnostics and layout maintenance.

A sample status is not a measurement of your home. For a real check, open the local Core address with /app/ at the end. Compare the home name with your installation records and check that your own rooms and devices load. A full Core package also includes the existing management interface.

02

Read the connection card

The Core card shows the home name, address in use, connection status, Core version and signed-in account. These details put an error message in context: you know which installation and permissions your check concerns.

The example address http://onehome.local:8787/app/ applies only when your installation uses that name and port. Otherwise use the address supplied by your administrator or router. An old browser bookmark may point to another installation or an earlier environment.

  1. Open System and read the address and Core version.
  2. Check the account, especially on a shared tablet or wall panel.
  3. Choose Check connection and wait for the updated status.
  4. Then open one of your rooms to check that current home data appears.
03

Adjust this screen only

Under This screen, set the screen name, theme, layout and language. Theme offers Dark, Ambient and Light. Layout offers Automatic, Desktop, Tablet, Mobile or Wall panel. Dutch, English and German are available.

These preferences belong to the screen and browser being used. A phone and wall panel can therefore present the same home differently. Changing the language or screen name does not alter local user permissions or rename devices on Core.

  1. Give the screen a recognisable name, such as Kitchen wall panel.
  2. Choose the theme, layout and language, then select Save on this screen.
  3. Reopen the page and check that this device retains the chosen appearance.
04

Open management for further maintenance

An administrator can choose Open Core management from the connection card. This retains access to areas not yet fully connected to the new interface. Use that existing environment for the management available on your installation, including its account and Cloud functions.

In the connected app, Initial setup provides an overview of the connection, loaded rooms, devices and resident permissions. It is useful for reviewing an existing setup. It does not replace an update procedure or recreate an existing home.

For maintenance, read the instructions for the release in use. A theme or website version is not automatically the local Core version.
05

Compare local contact with Cloud contact

Under Installations, My One-Home shows the version, hostname, installation identity and last Cloud contact. Its Online indication uses recent contact within ten minutes. This describes the Cloud connection, not the availability of every light or your phone’s internet connection.

If the local app works while the installation appears offline in the portal, first check the last-contact time. If needed, open the Cloud area in Core management and read the current error. Do not revoke the installation as a routine network check: this stops official Cloud services for that connection.

06

Match maintenance to the problem

In the demo or theme version, System lets you inspect sample status and diagnostics and manage layout backups. The diagnosis states that it is based on sample data. Use it to learn the controls, not as proof that a real connection is healthy.

A layout backup saves screen preferences and dashboards. The database, local keys and installation recovery require an appropriate Core or Cloud backup. Before investigating further, record the address, version, account and exact message. These details let an administrator continue methodically without changing settings at random.
